Cake Business Photographs – could they be better?
I saw a cake decorator moaning recently on social media. Someone had bought some cakes from her.
That wasn’t a problem in itself.
The person who bought the cakes had created some cake toppers and stuck them in the cakes. The gold twinkly card with a word cut out. These gold cut out words are fixed to a cake using a pointed stick.
You know the sort of thing?
Anyway the lady cake decorator concerned was upset. Her creation was being used as a platform for photographs by someone else. The decorator had not been acknowledged. After all she had supplied cakes in the first place. Plus the cake topper lady had clearly not even thought about photography. She should have considered ‘these are cake business photographs – could they be better?’ But this had not occurred to her.
The cake topper creator had not mentioned this is what she intended to do with the maker’s cupcakes. Nor had permission been granted to use the cakes for the photo shoot!
Anyway – what to do?
